FAQ
Short answers for players and server owners. Every question has its own link, so you can send it to a friend or to a server's staff.
Common questions
Sign in, open the server's page and press "Vote". Type your nickname exactly as it is in the game, capital letters included: the server uses it to give you the reward.
You can vote for each server once every 24 hours. There is also a daily cap on votes in total, and it resets at midnight UTC. Vote every day and your streak grows; you can see it in the vote window. A vote reminder can be turned on in your notification settings.
Link to this questionRewards come from the server itself, not from RadarMC. After you vote we show whether the vote reached the server. The usual reasons:
- The server hasn't set up Votifier or a reward plugin, or they didn't answer. The vote counts on RadarMC but never reached the game.
- The server's plugin hasn't picked up the vote yet. If the receipt says the plugin will give the reward, it arrives once the server collects the vote, usually within a minute or two.
- A typo in the nickname. The server looks the player up by the nickname in the vote, and letter case matters.
- You were offline. Many plugins give the reward the next time you join, so just log in.
- The server has its own rules. For example, rewards only for a voting streak.
If the vote reached the server and there is still no reward, ask the server's staff: the owner has a delivery log for every vote.
Link to this questionSignal Boost is paid promotion for a server. While it is active, the server gets boost points and sits higher in the catalog. It doesn't guarantee a position or players.
Any player can boost a server, not only its owner: press "Boost signal" on the server's page and pick a package. It is paid from your wallet balance, which you can top up by card, SBP or crypto.
Your nickname is hidden by default: the "Boosted by" list and the owner will see "Hidden". If you want your nickname shown, tick the box when you buy.
Link to this questionPress "Copy IP" in the catalog or on the server's page, and the address goes to your clipboard. Then in the game:
- Java Edition: "Multiplayer", then "Add Server". Paste the address into "Server Address" and join.
- Bedrock Edition: "Play", the "Servers" tab, then "Add Server". Paste the address and set the port if the server's page lists one (usually 19132).
The server's page shows its versions and platform. If your game version doesn't match, the server won't let you in.
Link to this questionThe catalog is sorted by a position score. It is made of uptime, ping, player count and activity, votes, reviews and ratings, ownership verification, the server's age and stability, plus Signal Boost.
You can see the breakdown for any server on its page, in the "Statistics" tab. Votes the system flags as fake don't count. Places in tag, mode and version catalogs are recalculated every hour.
Link to this questionOnly what the site needs to work: your email, username and profile, sign-in sessions, votes (your Minecraft nickname and IP address, to catch vote cheating), reviews, favorites, subscriptions and wallet history. There are no passwords: you sign in with an email code or through Google, Discord or Telegram.
When you copy a server's IP, your IP address isn't saved: we keep the country, the device type and an anonymous code. There are no ads and no third-party web analytics on the site. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
Link to this questionYour security settings list all active sessions, and you can end any of them. That is also where you turn on two-factor protection: at sign-in the site will ask for a code from an authenticator app.
You can delete the account in your account settings, but first transfer or delete your servers. Your profile, email and sessions are erased at once; votes stay in server stats without your nickname or IP address. If there is paid money on your balance, ask for a refund before deleting.
Link to this questionSubscribe to a server on its page and choose what to hear about: news and wipes, or status changes. Notifications always show up on the site; email and Telegram get the ones you turn on.
To connect Telegram, open your notification settings, press "Connect Telegram" and start the bot with the "Start" button. The bot only sends notifications: it doesn't post anything or read your chats. You can disconnect it in the same place or with the /stop command.
Link to this questionPress "Add Server" and fill in the address, description, categories and links. The server shows up in the catalog right away; there is no pre-moderation.
Ownership is verified in the "Verification" tab of the server settings: copy the code, add it to the MOTD as a separate word, reload the server and press "Check now". After the check you can remove the code. A verified server gets a badge, and verification counts toward its ranking. If you change the server's main address, you'll need to verify again.
A server that was reachable less than a quarter of the time over 10 days is hidden from the catalog and comes back on its own once it answers again.
Link to this questionIn the "Votifier" tab, enter the host and port of your vote listener and pick the protocol: NuVotifier v2 with a token, or Votifier v1 with the public key from plugins/Votifier/rsa/public.key. Votes arrive with the service name RadarMC, so set that in your reward plugin. Save the settings and send a test vote.
The delivery log in the same tab keeps every send for 30 days: nickname, time, result and the reason for a failure, such as a closed port or a wrong key. If votes stop getting through, we'll notify you.
Link to this questionRadarLink is the RadarMC plugin for your server. It does two things. It confirms that players who copied your IP actually joined, which adds a "Joined the game" step to your analytics. And it gives rewards for voting streaks: you write which commands to run for 3, 7 or 30 days in a row in config.yml on your own server. A player who is offline gets the reward the next time they join.
It runs on servers from 1.7.10 to the latest version: Spigot, Paper, Folia and Forge builds that load plugins (Mohist and similar), and on Velocity, BungeeCord and Waterfall proxies. It sees Bedrock players through Geyser and Floodgate. Download it in the "RadarLink" tab, paste your server's API key into plugins/RadarLink/config.yml and restart the server.
When a player joins, RadarLink sends their nickname, UUID and IP address. We turn the IP into an anonymous code straight away and don't store it. Commands come only from your config.yml, so even someone with your key can't run them from the site.
Link to this questionThe API returns your server's data as JSON: a summary (online, uptime, ranking places, votes, copies), votes with nicknames and streaks, active Signal Boosts, and IP copies by day and by source. Reward plugins also get methods for pending votes and for confirming a reward was given.
Keys are created in the "API keys" tab. The full key is shown once, and we keep only its hash. Send it in the X-API-Key header and never publish it. If a key leaks, revoke it in the same tab; the method reference with examples is there too.
Link to this questionWhen a player copies your IP, we record the time, the page, the server's place in the list, the country and the device type. Your server analytics show copies by day, unique visitors, sources, countries, devices, a funnel from page view to copy, and a live feed. You can download the report as CSV or XLSX.
Copy counts and catalog places are visible to everyone on the public analytics page. Turn on "Open stats" and the same page also shows sources, countries, devices and the feed. Nobody sees players' IP addresses, the owner included.
Link to this questionThe "Categories & tags" tab has a "Where players find you" table: the server's place in each tag, mode and version catalog, copies from there over 30 days and today, and how the place has moved. Places are recalculated every hour.
You can hide a tag or a mode with the "In catalog" switch: it stays on the server, but the server won't show up in that tag's catalog. Versions can't be hidden. Each tag can also have its own slogan, which replaces the main one in that tag's catalog.
Link to this questionIn the "Notifications" tab of the server settings, pick the events: the server dropped below a chosen place, its place in the top 10 changed, a new review, the server went down and came back, Signal Boost ends in a day, votes aren't reaching Votifier, news import stopped working.
The same tab has a weekly digest: copies, place, votes and reviews. It arrives on the day you choose at 07:00 UTC. Notifications always show up on the site; email and Telegram get the ones you turn on.
Link to this questionFor a server in the catalog, AI suggests tags from the RadarMC tag list and draft slogans for tags. We send Google Gemini and xAI Grok only the server's name and description and up to 10 recent posts from its public Telegram and VK channels. No player or account data goes there.
Nothing is published without you: a tag appears only when you press "Add", and a slogan only when you accept the draft. Whatever you reject is never suggested again. Suggestions refresh at most once a day.
Link to this questionYou can boost your own server from the dashboard with the "Boost" button, or from the server's page. Packages differ in points, duration and price. A boost starts at once and ends on its own; a day before it ends we'll remind you if that alert is on. Recent purchases show in the "Boosted by" block, which you can remove from the server's page.
An activated boost isn't refunded unless the service failed through our fault. If a boost couldn't be activated, the money returns to your balance automatically, usually within 15 minutes. Unspent wallet money can be refunded: message RadarMC support on Telegram. The details are in the Terms of Service.
Link to this questionIn the "General" tab, under "Page address and connection". The address can be 3 to 96 characters: Latin letters, digits and single hyphens. The old address will redirect to the new one, so existing links keep working.
You can change the address up to 3 times in 30 days.
